McConnaughey Tabbed NCBWA Preseason All-American

Junior Mason McConnaughey was named a preseason All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, which released its three teams on Friday.

McConnaughey was a second-team selection by NCBWA after picking up third-team All-America honors from D1Baseball in January.

The junior is coming off a second-team All-Big Ten campaign, where he went 9-3 with a 3.45 ERA and 91 strikeouts in 17 appearances, including 11 starts in 2024.

Earlier this week, McConnaughey and the Huskers were listed No. 24 in NCBWA’s preseason poll.
