Winter Weather Update
Key Point #1 - Significant to Major Impacts to Travel/Events due to Winter Storm. (Blizzard Warning / Winter Storm Warning & Winter Weather Advisory all in effect) Worst conditions Overnight (after 9 pm) and Sunday (heaviest snow). Potential “higher end” snowfall amounts in parts of North Central Kansas and some southeast Nebraska areas with Blizzard Conditions.
Key Point #2 - Snow for all areas with heavy snow for some south-southeast areas. Broad 3-6” snow. Heavy snow band in southeast 6-15+” (possibly more?) Brisk north winds (Gusts: 30-35+ mph) Overnight and into Sunday. Blowing/drifting snow and reduced visibilities.
Key Point #3 - Light ice glaze transitioning to snow tonight. Mainly Freezing drizzle preceding snow in most areas. Temperatures well below freezing. (Highs: upper teens to mid 20s)
