Tickets on sale now for the 18th Annual Heartland Hoops Classic
(Grand Island, NE) - Tickets are now on sale for the 18th Annual Heartland Hoops Classic, set to take place on February 15, 2025. This year's Classic is set to showcase an impressive lineup of talent, featuring seven Nebraska State Basketball Tournament qualifiers, a first-time out-of-state participant, and the return of two powerhouse programs. Headlining the event is veteran powerhouse Sunrise Christian Academy, making their ninth appearance and currently ranked #17 in ESPN's SCNext Top 25. Adding to the excitement is the debut of #15-ranked Mt. Zion Prep (Lanham, MD), a nationally recognized program. Three-time participant Wasatch Academy, currently ranked 3rd in the highly competitive EYBL Scholastic League Standings, will also return, rounding out a field of exceptional teams.
The first game tips off at 9:40 a.m., and the schedule for the day includes the following
matchups:
● 9:40 a.m. – Summerland vs. Johnson Brock
● 11:20 a.m. – Doniphan-Trumbull vs. Lincoln Lutheran
● 1:00 p.m. – Adams Central vs. Ashland Greenwood
● 2:45 p.m. – Grand Island Central Catholic vs. Sidney
● 4:30 p.m. – Pembroke Hill vs. Papillion-LaVista South
● 6:15 p.m. – Wasatch Academy vs. Millard North
● 8:00 p.m. – Mt. Zion Prep vs. Sunrise Christian Academy
General admission tickets are $17 and are valid for all seven games. Tickets can be
purchased through the Heartland Events Center box office or online at Ticketmaster. A
few courtside seats remain.
