The memorial service will took place just four days following Officer Marcello’s name also being added to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C. A team of officers alongside Chief Denney attended the ceremony after taking part in the Police Unity Tour Bike Ride.

The Marcello family attended the ceremony as well, and while emotions ran high, Inv. Marcello’s widow Tami Marcello couldn’t thank the community enough for its love and support.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she said. “It means so much to me.”
