State Patrol Honors Breast Cancer Fighters with Pink Patches

OCTOBER 1, 2024 (LINCOLN, NEB.)  — The Nebraska State Patrol is honoring breast cancer fighters across the state this month with the Pink Patch Project. This is the seventh year for NSP’s participation in the effort, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Pink Patch Project is a national campaign in which many law enforcement officers wear a pink version of their agency’s shoulder patch. Troopers have the option of replacing their traditional NSP patch with a pink NSP patch for the month of October.

“The Pink Patch Project is a wonderful effort that covers the entire country,” said Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “NSP is proud to support the many cancer fighters across Nebraska.”

Pink NSP patches are available for purchase for $10 for members of the public at local NSP offices. All proceeds from sales of the pink NSP patches will benefit Nebraska’s Hereditary Cancer Foundation.
