Northwest Volleyball Season Comes To An End
(Grand Island, NE) - The Northwest volleyball season came to an end on Saturday morning falling to Bennington in straight sets 25-17, 25-10, 25-23. Vikings were led by Ava Janulewicz with 9 kills, Izzy Burhman with 6, Kelsey Knapp 4, and Tessa Scheer with 4 kills. Jacey Knapp had 23 kills to lead Northwest. Kenna Bowman had 22 set assists. Bennington had 14 aces serves in the match and was led by junior outside hitter Hayden Liebsack with 16 kills.
The Vikings end the season with a record of 27-9. Bennington at 21-13 advances to the state tournament starting next Wednesday at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
