Fremont scored four runs in each of the first two innings and went on to a 12-4 win over Grand Island on Monday. Burke Jasa hit his second grand slam in as many at bats in the first inning to put Fremont up early. He'd hit one in the ninth inning of Sunday's game.
Ian Rodriguez went 2-4, doubled home a run and scored twice to pace the Cranes' offense. Gage Gannon was the highlight of the five pitchers used. The GISH grad worked three hitless innings and struck out three, while regularly hitting 90 MPH with his fastball.
