Medical Marijuana Supporters Organizing Ballot Drive

Supporters of medical marijuana are hoping the third time is the charm to get the issue on the ballot in 2024.
Crista Eggers is once again the face of the fight, chairing a campaign that she believes has overwhelming public support.
The previous two ballot drives stopped short of reaching the ballot thanks in large part to Secretary of State Bob Evnen, who in 2020, tossed the issue off the ballot when he deemed it to be in violation of the state’s single-subject rule.
In the 2022 election cycle, the campaign hit a roadblock when its main financial backer tragically passed away.
