Malcolm Defeats GICC Football 24-7

(Grand Island, NE) - The GICC football team would fall to Malcolm in a Thursday night affair at Grand Island's Memorial Stadium by a final score of 24-7. Malcolm would get two first-half touchdowns and a 26-yard field goal with 2 seconds left in the first half to go up 17-0 at the halftime break. Central Catholic would get the first possession of the second half and would march down the field 71 yards for a Grayson Sack 10-yard touchdown run to make it 17-7. That score would remain until the 11:41 mark of the 4th quarter. Sack would get tied up around the feet by a Malcolm defender, trying to throw the ball away to avoid the sack, Sack would throw an interception that would lead to a touchdown making it 24-7. GICC would have the ball two more times in the fourth quarter after the pick-six but unfortunately would have two cases of turnover on downs. GICC would have four different scenarios of turnover on downs in the game. 

Malcolm is now 2-0 with the win and will be back at home next week hosting Yutan. GICC is now 1-1 on the season and will travel to Hershey next Friday. Listen live on KRGI 1430/105.5 staring with the Pump & Pantry Pregame Show at 6:30 pm.
