Nebraska men’s basketball is off to a 2-0 start after routing the Rattlers of Florida A & M 81-54 Thursday night.  Newcomer Rienk Mast led the offense with 20 points, including a pair of threes, plus grabbed 16 rebounds; Eli Rice scored 16, while Brice Williams knocked down 15 including a 7 for 7 performance at the free throw line.  The men return to action Monday night at home against Rider.


The Husker women are back on the floor tonight in a non-conference test at Wyoming, fresh off of their 90-42 knockout of Northwestern State Monday. Listen for the Nebraska women tonight on AM 1430 KRGI, 105.5 FM and online at KRGI dot com starting at 7:00.


Nebraska football returns to action tomorrow, taking on Maryland at Memorial Stadium.  Kickoff tomorrow is at 11 am - complete game day coverage on the KRGI Sports Network begins at 7:00.


The NSAA state high school football playoffs are down to the final four in each of the seven classes.  Class A semifinal games tonight have Millard West at Omaha Westside and Elkhorn South at Millard South; in Class B, Elkhorn North travels to Bennington while Waverly hosts Omaha Skutt; C1 semifinal games send Sidney to Wahoo in a 3:30 start, while Ashland-Greenwood battles Boone Central; the C2 games have Fillmore Central at Norfolk Catholic and Yutan at Ord; eight man matchups in D1 have Stanton at Sandy Creek and EMF at Crofton, while South Loup squares off at Dunning against Sandhills/Thedford and Howells-Dodge heads to Wynot in D2; six man semi final showdowns have Wilcox-Hildreth at S-E-M and Hay Springs at Parkview Christian.
