Gov. Pillen to Administer Enlistment Oath During Husker Football Halftime
LINCOLN, NE – Governor Jim Pillen will be joined by officers from the Nebraska National Guard in administering the Oath of Enlistment to more than 20 recruits during Saturday’s Husker football game against UCLA. The ceremony will take place during halftime. Kickoff at Memorial Stadium is 2:30 p.m. (CT).
This is the second year that Gov. Pillen has highlighted the enlistment of soldiers and airmen during the annual University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL) Military Appreciation Game. That home game is scheduled to coincide as closely as possible to Veteran’s Day. This year’s theme focuses on women in the military.
Gov. Pillen will be joined on Tom Osborne Field by Major General AnnMarie Anthony and Command Sergeant Major NaTosha Siemek of the Nebraska National Guard.
