GINW Soccer Teams Win At Lakeview
(Columbus, NE) - The Northwest girl's soccer team won their second match of the season on Thursday as they defeated Columbus Lakeview by a final score of 5-0. The Viking girls got a win on Tuesday night at home vs Kearney Catholic defeating the Stars by a final score of 4-1. Lupe Sanchez would have a hat trick (3 goals) in the match. The black and gold are now 2-1 on the season and will be back in action on Saturday, March 23rd traveling to Scottsbluff to take on the Bearcats.
The Northwest boys bounced back on Thursday defeating Columbus Lakeview by a final score of 4-3. The Vikings would fall at home on Tuesday 2-1 in a shootout vs Kearney Catholic. In the battle of the Vikings Northwest would get two goals from Xavier Corona and one each from Jayden Roth and Conner Haney. Northwest is now 3-1 on the season and will also be back in action on Saturday, March 23rd at Scottsbluff in a match with the Bearcats.
