Offense: Burglary

Location of Incident: 512 S Webb Rd
Brief Narrative: On June 22, 2024, at approximately 0033 hours, officers were dispatched to the report of an alarm at Grand Island Veterinary Hospital, 512 S Webb Rd. A rock was found to be used to break a window and gain access into the building. The suspect was not located on scene. Property damage along with missing petty cash in the amount of $20 was reported by the business owner. Investigation is on-going.

Offense: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Person

Offender: 17 year old male

Location of Incident: Memorial Dr & S Vine St
Brief Narrative: On 06-23-24 at approximately 0307 hours, officers would observe a vehicle with a head light out turn east onto 1st St from Oak St. Officer observed a vehicle traveling south on S Vine St and attempted to catch up to it. The vehicle would take off at a high rate of speed turning at multiple intersections to attempt to lose officers. A traffic stop was conducted and made contact with the driver who was a juvenile male. Male admitted to having a small amount of Marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a Taurus firearm was located in the center console of the vehicle. After a records check it would show the juvenile to be prohibited from being in possession of firearms with previous felony convictions. 17 year old juvenile was cited for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Person, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Minor, Reckless Driving, Marijuana less than a oz, and No Operator’s License.

Location of Incident: Within City Limits
Brief Narrative: On 06-23-2024 at approximately 13:48 hours a belated sexual assault was
reported within the city limits of Grand Island. The victim reports she was sexually assaulted
without consent. Investigation ongoing.

Offense: Counterfeit Currency
Victim: 57 year old male Incident #: L24062110
Date and Time of Incident: 6/22/24 @ 11:00
Location of Incident: 2103 E Stolley Park Rd
Brief Narrative: On 06-23-2024 at approximately 1913 hours, officer responded to a report of a counterfeit $100 bill. Food truck owner took a fake $100 bill from a car show event at Stolley Park on 06-22-2024.
