Offense: Traffic Stop

Offender: Gony Wakou
Date and Time of Incident: 5/30/24 7:22 pm
Location of Incident: W 6th St & N Eddy
Brief Narrative: At approximately 1922 5/30/24, Officers observed a black Toyota Corolla Eastbound on 6th St W near Clark St N. The vehicle was had turned onto 6th St and was traveling Eastbound in the Westbound lane. The vehicle was also observed to be traveling at a visually estimated speed of 10mph in a posted 25mph zone for several blocks. A record check of the vehicle's plates returned to Gony Wakou. A record check of Gony showed his license status as revoked for DUI 3rd conviction. A traffic stop was conducted and upon the vehicle stopping, Gony quickly hopped out and approached officers. Gony was observed to not have been wearing his seatbelt prior to being stopped. He was confirmed to be the driver and was placed under arrest. While transporting Gony to Hall County Jail, the odor of alcohol was observed coming from his person. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests would be performed prior to booking Gony into Jail. Gony showed gross impairment and was unfit to operate a motor vehicle. Gony provided a failing preliminary breath test sample. Gony consented to a chemical test of his breath. A record check showed Gony had a prior conviction for DUI 3rd 11/13/2014 & DUI 3rd 04/12/2017 in Hall County. He was booked into Hall County Jail on the charges listed below.

Offender: Jared R Baker
Date and Time of Incident: 5/30/24 8:11 am
Location of Incident: 1124 W 2nd S
Brief Narrative: On May 29, 2024, officers were dispatched to the Grand Island Public Library, 1124 W 2nd St, in response to removal of an individual on the property.  The individual was identified as Jared R Barker, who had an active and confirmed warrant. Jared was placed under arrest and transported to Hall County Corrections where he was booked without incident.

Offender: Brianna Johnston
Date and Time of Incident: 5/30/24 8:31 pm
Location of Incident: N Walnut St & W 8th Street
Brief Narrative: On 05/30/2024, officers observed a female walking near 8th and Walnut and would recognize the female to be Brianna Johnston. Officers know and recognize Brianna from prior contacts and Law Enforcement involvements. Officers know Brianna to have multiple Hall County warrants. A records check would confirm Brianna's identity and her warrants. Brianna would be arrested and booked into HCC for the offenses listed below.
