Offense: Theft
Victim: 80 year old female Incident #: L24100830
Date and Time of Incident: between 10/7/24 & 10/8/24
Location of Incident: 2414 La Mar Ave
Brief Narrative: On 10/08/2024 officers were dispatched to the 2400 block La Mar Ave in reference to a theft call for service. Upon arrival officers would make contact with an elderly female who advised that she had been contacted by an alleged computer support company and was informed that her personal information had been compromised. Through this contact with the computer support company the reporting party advised that she withdrew a large sum of money and gave it to an unknown male that came to her residence. This is an ongoing investigation.

Offense: Burglary Attempt
Victim: 34 year old male Incident #: L24100753
Date and Time of Incident: 10/8/24 @ 09:15
Location of Incident: 1512 W John St
Brief Narrative: An adult female contacted Police to report an attempted Burglary. An unknown person kicked open the back door and possibly entered the residence. Nothing was found stolen at this time. Owner of residence was not home at the time. Door was damaged.
