Offense: Terroristic Threats

Offender: Matthew Carlton
Date and Time of Incident: 8/28/24 @ 19:15
Location of Incident: W 4th St & N Walnut
Brief Narrative: On 08/28/2024 at 1915 hours officers responded to the area of 4th St. W and Walnut St. N for a reported hit and run accident. On scene, contact was made with a victim who relayed that a large blue pickup rear ended his Toyota van then the pickup fled the scene prior to exchanging information. A short time later Matthew Carlton called dispatch to report he rear ended a vehicle then left the area. Matthew was contacted at his residence. Officers detected the strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from Matthew's person and he had trouble keeping his balance. Matthew admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to crashing into the other vehicle on a public roadway. Matthew showed impairment during SFST's and a PBT was administered which resulted in a failing sample. Matthew was then transported to St. Francis for a legal blood draw. While at the hospital Matthew made a direct threat that he would murder an officer's child. Matthew also made multiple vague threats to physically harm an officer and their family members. A records check showed Matthew had two prior DUI convictions in the last 15 years. Matthew Carlton was arrested for Terroristic Threats, DUI 3rd, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.

Offender: Cody Bohlen

Location of Incident: S Blaine & Garland St
Brief Narrative: Officer conducted a traffic stop near S Blaine/Garland St after the vehicle was observed crossing the center lane line. The driver and sole occupant, Cody Bohlen, showed signs of impairment. Bohlen was arrested for DUI 5th Offense and Driving While Revoked from DUI.

Victim: Anderson Ford Incident #: L24082440
Date and Time of Incident: 8/28/24 @ 10:02
Location of Incident: 120 N Diers
Brief Narrative: Reporting party reported an adult male to have passed a personal check to purchase a new vehicle from Anderson Ford. The check had been returned by the bank and was determined to be from a Closed Account. Case is under investigation.
