Brief Narrative: Reporting party came to the police station to report an alleged sexual assault of a child that has occurred within the city limits of Grand Island. McAlevy was arrested for 3rd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child [28-320.01] IIIA Felony.

Victim: 21 year old female Incident #: L24081312
Offender: Bryan Palomares

Location of Incident: 1118 W 3rd St
Brief Narrative: Victim reported that her boyfriend, Bryan Palomares strangled her two times for about 7-10 seconds each time, preventing her from breathing. Victim also reported that Bryan struck her in the head with an aluminum broomstick. Victim had visible injuries around her neck, and a bent broomstick. Bryan admitted to having possibly choked the victim, and also admitted to hitting her with the broomstick during their altercation. Bryan was arrested for 2nd degree Domestic Assault and Strangulation.

Brief Narrative: On 08/17/2024, Officers responded to St Francis Emergency Room reference a sexual assault. It was reported an adult female was subjected to sexual assault by a known male. This is an ongoing investigation.

Location of Incident: 2222 Bellwood Dr
Brief Narrative: On 08/17/2024 officers responded to the area of 2222 Bellwood Dr in reference to a hit and run property damage accident. Upon arrival, officers observed a parked Toyota Rav 4 that had been struck and displaced onto the curb. Next to the Toyota was a vehicle bumper. Witness's would report that a grey colored four door sedan had hit and struck the Toyota and fled the scene without making any attempt to contact its owner or law enforcement. It would be discovered that the last known owner had sold the vehicle to Francisco Alvaro. A records check of Francisco would show that he had a permit only. Officers would relocate where the suspect vehicle was located. Officers observed the vehicle to be occupied and officers would also observe the vehicle to back out of the driveway onto W 9th St. The vehicle would be stopped and Francisco would be contacted as the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. During the contact with Francisco he was asked how long he had been in possession of the vehicle, he advised that he had owned it for approximately 2 months. Francisco was unable to provide and valid registration or proof of insurance. Francisco would be asked about being involved in a property damage accident to which he would initially deny any involvement. This statement would later be recanted and he would admit to being involved in an accident outside of 2222 Bellwood Dr. At the time of contact, Francisco had the odor of alcohol coming from his person. Francisco did consent to SFST's where he would show impairment. Francisco would also provide a failing PBT sample. During the search of Francisco, a white powdered substance was found in a small ziploc bag and within a $5.00 bill. This substance would be confirmed to be Cocaine by both Francisco and TruNarc testing. Francisco was arrested for DUI 1st, Possession of Controlled Substance, No Proof of Insurance, Minor in Consumption, No Valid Registration, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and No Operator’s License.

Offender: Much Biel
Date and Time of Incident: 8/17/24 @ 19:07
Location of Incident: 3503 W State St
Brief Narrative: On 08/17/24 1907 officer observed a white Honda CRV violate the red traffic signal traveling southbound on Diers Ave at State St. Officer initiated a traffic stop at 3503 W. State St on a white 2011 Honda CRV. Officer contacted the driver, who verbally identified himself as someone else, stating he did not have his operator’s license on his person. The officer would return to his patrol vehicle for administrative check. The officer would observe the photo did not match the driver and would search for similarities with the last name and located the name Much Biel. This subject’s photo matched the driver of the vehicle. The officer would find Much Biel had a suspended operator’s license and would also locate an active arrest warrant from Lancaster County Nebraska. Much Biel would be placed under arrest for Driving During Suspension, Criminal Impersonation and a Lancaster County Warrant.

Victim: Sanchez Plaza Incident #: L24081375

Location of Incident: 218 W Wheeler
Brief Narrative: A Sanchez Plaza employee reported an unknown person contacted their store, and asked money be wired from an unknown person to an unknown person. The amount wired was in excess of $5,000.00 The money was wired due to the belief the store owner approved this to happen. Case is under investigation.

Victim: 25 year old male Incident #: L24081444
Date and Time of Incident: 8/18/24 @ 00:51
Location of Incident: W 3rd St & N Walnut St
Brief Narrative: On 08/18/2024 around 0051, Officers would be dispatched to 3rd St and Walnut St in reference to an unconscious male. Officers would observe a male being tended to by EMS with a pool of blood in the area where the male fell. The male would be missing a portion of his scalp on the backside of his head. The male would be transported to St. Francis Medical Center by EMS for further treatment. There are no known suspects at this time. Case
is under investigation.
