Offense: Trespass/Resisting Arrest

Offender: Daniel Rodriguez
Date and Time of Incident: 9/13/24 @ 23/30
Location of Incident: W 3rd St & N Wheeler
Brief Narrative: On 09/13/2024 around 23:37 hours officers were called to the area of 3rd St W & Wheeler Ave N to remove an intoxicated individual from a concert. When officers contacted the male who was identified as Daniel Rodriguez, he refused to leave the concert venue. When officers placed Daniel under arrest he refused to follow officer instructions, and attempted to pull his arms away from officers. When officers escorted Daniel would resist and push back against officers.
Daniel was arrested for Criminal Trespass-2nd Degree and Resist arrest-2nd/Subsequent
Offense.

Offense: Terroristic Threats

Offender: Robert Lewis
Date and Time of Incident: 9/14/24 @ 00:40
Location of Incident: 310 N Cherokee
Brief Narrative: On 09-14-2024 at approximately 0305 hours, officers made contact with a juvenile male and female in reference to a weapons offense. It was reported that an adult male pulled a knife and placed it against the juvenile male's throat. Robert Lewis was arrested for Terroristic Threats and Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony.

Location of Incident: 2124 Lafayette Ave
Brief Narrative: A juvenile male created and posted a picture on Snapchat that that created fear of a possible school shooting at Grand Island Senior High School. The student admitted to making the post. He was issued a citation for Terroristic Threats and released to his mother.

Offender: 17 year old male

Location of Incident: 1420 S Locust
Brief Narrative: Juvenile male was stabbed in the back while in a verbal confrontation with known acquaintances. Several persons became involved in a physical fight after the initial stabbing. Suspects are known. Juvenile suspect was located and admitted to stabbing the juvenile victim with a knife. Juvenile suspect also admitted to driving out of town and throwing the knife in an unknown area. The 17 year old male was cited for 1st Degree Assault, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony (Knife) and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Brief Narrative: On 09/13/2024, officers responded to a report of a juvenile receiving messages from another juvenile male claiming he was going to shoot him and sending a photo of a gun. A suspect has not been located at this time.

Brief Narrative: A juvenile male reported being strangled by an unknown acquaintance. Juvenile and parents do not wish to pursue criminal charges.

Offender: Mursal Abdi & Benyameen Coco
Date and Time of Incident: 9/14/24 @ 07:57
Location of Incident: W Division & S Elm St
Brief Narrative: At approximately 0757 9/14/24, Officers observed a tan van southbound on Clark St N from 2nd St W. The vehicle did not have a front license plate displayed and the driver's rear taillight was non-functional. A traffic stop was conducted and Mursal Abdi was identified as the driver. He was observed to have blood shot watery eyes, slurred speech, the odor of alcohol coming from his person, and was stumbling when he walked. Mursal was unable to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests due to his intoxication. A failing PBT sample was collected and a failing Datamaster of breath would later be collected. A record check showed his license as suspended. The passenger would provide a false name to law enforcement. He was identified as Benyameen Coco and would later admit his real identity. He was known to have active Hall County warrants for his arrest. He was placed under arrest. During a search of his person, brass knuckles were located in his back pocket attached to a chain on his pants. Benyameen is a fugitive from justice and also a convicted felon, therefore prohibited from possessing brass knuckles. The brass knuckles were also concealed from law enforcement and Benyameen did not mention them until just before his arrest.
Mursal Abdi arrested for Driving During Suspension, DUI 1st .15 + and Improper Display of
Plates. Benyameen Coco arrested for Hall County Warrants, False Reporting, Carrying Concealed
Weapon and Possession Deadly Weapon by Prohibited Person.

Offense: Sex Offense / Child Abuse
Victim: 16 year old female Incident #: L24091171
Offender: Gerardo Ortiz-Perez
Date and Time of Incident: 9/14/24 @ 12:00
Location of Incident: With City Limits
Brief Narrative: On 09-14-2024 at approximately 12:56 hours a sex offense was dispatched. A 16-year-old victim reports Gerardo Ortiz-Perez had placed a cell phone to record video while in the bathroom. The 16-year-old victim states she was in a state of partial undress when the phone was located. The 16-year-old stated she was very afraid and was crying at the time of this contact.  Gerardo was read Miranda Rights, which he advised he understood and was willing to make a statement. Gerardo admits to placing the phone under the toilet, with the camera facing the shower while it was recording a video. Gerardo was arrested for Unlawful Intrusion & Intentional Child Abuse No Injury.

Victim: 19 year old male & 17 year old male Incident #: L24091223
Date and Time of Incident: 9/15/24 @ 01:30
Location of Incident: 220 W Capital Ave
Brief Narrative: On 09/15/24 at 02:50, Officers arrived at 220 Capital Ave where a male juvenile advised he was assaulted by a group of people who then stole his vehicle and phone. Case is open.

Offense: Leaving Scene of Injury Accident
Victim: 20 year old male Incident #: L24091264
Offender: Carol Bryant
Date and Time of Incident: 9/15/24 @ 16:05
Location of Incident: Holcomb St & Riverside Dr
Brief Narrative: At approximately 1605 9/15/24, Officers responded to a report of a male on a bicycle struck by a vehicle. Male reported the vehicle did not stop for the posted stop sign for eastbound traffic. The vehicle was reported to have left the scene prior to officer’s arrival. The driver did not stop and furnish information or render aid to the male on the bicycle. The male on the bicycle had pain in his hips and multiple abrasions. He would be transported to SFMC.
The registered owner was identified as Carol Bryant. Carol's physical characteristic matched the description given by male victim. Carol was contacted and admitted to striking the male and leaving the scene. Damage on the vehicle indicated the front of her vehicle struck the bicycle, which was consistent with her not yielding to traffic. She was placed under arrest for stop Sign Violation & Leaving Scene of Injury Accident.

Offender: Aedyn Baetz & Manuel Palos

Location of Incident: N Oak St & E 14th St
Brief Narrative: On 09/15/2024 Officers responded to 1018 North Washington St in reference to an assault. The reporting party stated that he had been physically assaulted by two males who then took his shoes, sunglasses, iPhone, and scrunchie. The two males then fled from the area. Officers contacted the two males who were identified as Aedyn Baetz and Manuel Palos. Aedyn and Manuel were cited for Robbery and released to their guardians.

Location of Incident: 920 S Clark St
Brief Narrative: Victim reported her intimate partner assaulted her by pushing the nape of her neck, causing pain, and impeding her normal breathing by pressuring her face down into a pillow. Suspect stole the victim's phone and money. Case is open.
