First Hall County Open Disc Golf Tournament this Weekend
GRAND ISLAND, NEBR: The first ever Hall County Open disc golf tournament is scheduled for this weekend, November 9th. This PDGA sanctioned C-Tier event will be played on a temporary course set up in the park by organizer Disc Gauntlet. It will consist of two rounds, both played on Saturday. The course will be set up on Friday morning to allow participants to practice before the competition.
The course will be relatively short as it winds through the wooded areas of Hall County Park in Grand Island, Nebraska, although it will include two par-fours. Participants can register in a variety of skill and age based divisions, and registration costs range from $55 for the Open division down to $20 for Novice & Junior divisions. Non-PDGA members will be charged an additional $10 since this is a sanctioned tournament.
Disc Gauntlet's mission is to grow disc golf in the state of Nebraska by hosting events with local community assistance. They strive to provide a unique tournament experience to players of all skill levels.
