Evans & Burnham to throw out first pitch Saturday night

(Grand Island, NE) - Riverdogs Baseball is excited to host the Jake Gillespie Memorial Home Run Derby supported by John and Tracy Gillespie!

The Home Run Derby Competition will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Platt-Duetsche, featuring players and teams playing in the Grand Island Riverdogs Tournament.

Throwing out the first pitch & signing autographs will be Nebraska Cornhusker baseball players Casey Burnham & Cole Evans. 

Casey and Cole both are Grand Island grads and both played with Jake who tragically lost his life in a car accident on Jan 1st, 2022.
