Omaha, Neb.  – The Creighton women's basketball is returning to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season, and 10th time overall, after earning an at-large bid to 2024 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. The No. 7 seed Bluejays (25-5) will meet No. 10 seed UNLV (30-2) in Los Angeles, Calif.

A date, tip time and television coverage for Creighton's First Round contest will be announced in the next 24 hours.

The Bluejay team gathered at a public viewing party inside D.J. Sokol Arena on the Creighton campus to watch the bracket be unveiled on ESPN.

Creighton enters the NCAA Tournament with a 25-5 record after going 15-3 to finish second in the BIG EAST. The Bluejays are led by the All-BIG EAST trio of Lauren Jensen (17.1 ppg.), Emma Ronsiek (16.6 ppg.) and Morgan Maly (15.1 ppg.). Molly Mogensen (4.1 apg.) and Mallory Brake (1.7 spg., 1.0 bpg.) round out a starting lineup composed entirely of seniors.

Creighton is coached by Jim Flanery, who owns a 426-267 record in 22nd year with the Bluejays. This year marks his seventh trip to the NCAA Tournament at the Division I level, including trips to the Third Round in 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, a run to the Elite Eight during 2022, and last year's First Round appearance. Creighton's No. 7 seed is its second-best seed ever, trailing only its No. 7 seed in 2022-23, and this year is also the first time in program history that Creighton has made three straight NCAA Tournament appearances.

This year marks Creighton's 18th postseason bid in the last Flanery's 22 seasons. The Bluejays have won at least one game in six of their previous nine NCAA Tournament appearances.

The winner of the Creighton/UNLV game will meet the winner of the game between second-seeded UCLA and 15th-seeded Cal Baptist (28-3).
