(Hastings, NE) – Following the conclusion of the Hastings College volleyball season, head coach Alex Allard has decided to resign from her position.

"I have enjoyed my time as the head volleyball coach at Hastings College, and I am grateful for the support and trust from College President Rich Lloyd, and Athletic Director Chris Clements. Their leadership has been instrumental in fostering a positive environment for both the team and the broader athletic community. I wish them all the best in their future endeavors and look forward to seeing the continued success of Hastings College volleyball," Allard said.

Allard led the Broncos to a 15-12 record this past season, finishing fifth in the conference at 8-8, then defeating Morningside on the road in their GPAC quarterfinal match. In her six seasons as head coach, Allard accumulated a 78-84 record and had an appearance in the 2022 NAIA National Tournament, defeating Texas Wesleyan in the opening round of the tournament in five sets.

"We would like to thank Alex for her time and dedication to the volleyball program over the last six years of coaching and wish her the best moving forward," Clements said.

The search for the next Broncos head volleyball coach will begin immediately.
