Alda Fire: Private Mechanic Shop Total Loss

(Alda, NE) - On Tuesday morning the Alda Volunteer Fire Department along with mutual aid from Grand Island Rural, Wood River, and Cairo responded to a structure fire at a private mechanic shop on Saturn Street on the south side of Alda. The call came in at 12:04 am. Alda firefighters remained on the scene until 5:43 am Tuesday morning. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is not known at this time. The mechanic shop is a total loss.
