Abby Martin Joins Grand Island Chamber Staff


GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Abby Martin has been named communications and marketing director of the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce.

Martin will be responsible for the organization’s messaging and media relations, as well as the Chamber’s efforts to increase its public visibility and member engagement. Her first day at the Chamber will be Monday, July 1.
 
Martin joins the Chamber staff after serving as assistant director at the Literacy Council of Grand Island, where she managed the Council’s social media and content creation, while helping oversee fundraising. Prior to that, she was the Leads Marketplace Associate at Quility Insurance, managing corporate social media accounts and playing a key role in testing new technologies and services.

A Grand Island native, Martin is a 2014 graduate of Grand Island Senior High School and a 2018 graduate of Doane University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and education.
