4th Quarter Score Gives GICC A Comeback Win Over Ord
(Grand Island, NE) - The Central Catholic Crusader football team won their fifth game of the year on Friday night defeating Ord by a final score of 31-28. Ord went on a 21-point run to give the Chants a 28-24 lead midway through the fourth quarter. GICC would then go on a 69-yard touchdown drive that was capped by a Jack Alberts 7-yard touchdown run to give GICC the lead with 3:26 left in the game as the Crusader defense would hold down the game the remaining way to give GICC the victory.
Ord with the loss is now 1-5 on the season and will be hosting 0-6 Centura next week. GICC moves to 5-1 and will host 3-3 Cross Country next Friday, October 11th. Cross County won this past Friday night over St Paul 22-20.
