Ranch/Farm Hand - Full Time

Biskup Farms in Orleans, Nebraska, is looking to add an experienced Ranch/Farm Hand to their team!

Job duties include:

  • Taking care of cattle; feed, water, doctor, calve, etc.
  • Build and repair fence
  • Swath and bale hay
  • Assist with the planting, spraying, and harvesting
  • General maintenance on vehicles and equipment
  • Drive a Semi Truck

The ideal Ranch/Farm Hand would have at least three years of experience working cattle, be mechanically inclined, and be a team player. The Ranch/Farm Hand must be self-motivated and dependable. The applicant must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record as reflected by an MVR. A CDL is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Every other weekend to complete chores. Hours vary based on the season.

Compensation: $17-20 per hour

Benefits: Housing is provided, a health insurance stipend is available, 1 week of PTO, ½ beef, and a work vehicle

Millwright - Full Time

Buckley Steel, located in Ainsworth, Nebraska, is a respected leader in the agriculture industry for building, servicing, and renovating large farm grain facilities, commercial grain systems, and feed mills in Nebraska, South Dakota, and eastern Colorado.

Buckley Steel is hiring a Millwright team member!

Job duties include:

  • Reading blueprints and erection manuals
  • Assist with erecting buildings, grain bins, and feed mills
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
  • General repairs and maintenance on equipment
  • Metal fabrication and welding
  • Operating machinery, boom truck, and crane truck

The ideal applicant would be a good communicator and provide excellent customer service. They must be a team player and have the ability to think outside the box. The Millwright team members usually work on specific projects in groups of 2-8. A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred but not required. The Millwright will travel to customer locations 60% of the time and work out of the home office in Ainsworth 40% of the time. Buckley Steel provides lodging and a per diem to help with overnight work trips.

Compensation: $18-25 per hour and a travel incentive plan.
