Lead Cowboy - Full Time

Riverview Feeders has an exciting opportunity for a lead Cowboy to join their new Feedlot in Bertrand, Nebraska. The lead cowboy must be organized, a good communicator and skilled with cattle. 

Lead Cowboy Compensation & Benefits: 

  • $60,000-$70,000 per year
  • House provided
  • Health Insurance Stipend
  • Paid time off
  • ½ Beef
  • Pick up

Lead Cowboy Job Duties: 

  • Call Bunks and adjust feed
  • Ability to use Micro Technologies Feeding Program
  • Schedule employees and manage employees  
  • Move cattle to different pens
  • Ship cattle when ready, schedule shipping
  • Schedule processing and assist
  • Schedule maintenance on feedlot and repairs on equipment, assist when available
  • Operate feed truck, pay loaders, tractors, skid loader and other equipment as needed
  • Ride pens and treat sick cattle as needed
  • Meet with owners regularly 

Schedule: 

  • Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends for chores 

The Lead Cowboy must have an acceptable driving record as reflected by MVR.

Farm & Ranch Hand - Full Time

Brock Anderson is looking for an experienced Farm and Ranch Hand to join their diverse, family operation in Gothenburg, Nebraska. The Farm and Ranch Hand must have a strong work ethic and have 3-5 years of experience. 

Farm and Ranch Hand Compensation & Benefits:

  • $58,000-$65,000 per year, based on experience
  • Year-end bonus
  • 401K Match
  • Paid time off

  • Work pickup
  • ½ Beef
  • Lunches provided 


Farm and Ranch Hand Job Duties: 

  • Operate planters, tractors and other farm equipment as needed
  • Assist with harvest, operating grain cart and trucking
  • Assist with chemical and fertilizer application
  • Assist with irrigation
  • Drive semi – truck
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Assist with cattle: feed, water, check cattle on grass and stalks
  • Assist with doctoring cattle, processing and branding
  • Assist with calving
  • Fence work and pen maintenance  

Farm and Ranch Hand Schedule: Hours vary based on season

  • Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday’s during busy seasons

The Farm and Ranch Hand must have an acceptable driving record as reflected by MVR. A CDL is not required, but preferred.
