Farm Hand - Full Time

Gustafson Farms is looking for a skilled Farm Hand/Sprayer Operator to join their family farm operation in Phillips, Nebraska. The applicant must have a Nebraska Commercial Pesticide Applicator license or the ability to obtain one.

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • $60,000-$75,000 per year based on experience
  • Annual spray bonus
  • Paid time off
  • ½ Beef
  • Pickup

The Farm Hand’s Job Duties: 

  • Assist with planting and harvesting
  • Spray liquid and dry fertilizer  
  • Ability to mix chemicals properly
  • Assist with irrigation
  • Drive semi-truck
  • General maintenance and repairs on equipment 

Work Schedule: 

  • Busy Season: Monday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Off Season: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends for chores and maintenance

Farm Truck Driver - Full Time

Ostergard Farms in Gothenburg, Nebraska, is looking to add a Farm Truck Driver to the team! The Truck Driver will travel within 40 miles of Gothenburg and will be home every night. 

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • $24-30 per hour based on experience
  • Health Insurance Stipend
  • Cell Phone Allowance
  • Paid Time Off 


Job Duties: 

  • The Truck Driver will primarily haul corn and use a side dump to haul dirt and manure.
  • The Truck Driver will haul crushed rock.
  • The Truck Driver must be able to use a payloader.
  • The Truck Driver will perform light mechanic work on semis and trailers.

The ideal applicant would be self-motivated, reliable and detail oriented.  

The Truck Driver must have their Class A CDL License and an acceptable driving record as reflected by MVR. The Truck Driver will be subject to pre-employment and random drug tests. 

Work Schedule: 

  • Busy Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Winter Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with occasional weekends
  • Hours vary based on season
